Developed in Compton is a youth-led, black and brown-owned social enterprise committed to bridging the gap between film development and its access in the Compton and south LA area. As an initiative of the non-profit Color Compton, our objective remains focused on community and the power of showcasing our stories. We provide high-quality, affordable photo services, including film development, scanning, digitization, and printing and offer free monthly workshops and photo walks.

Growing up in Compton, we've faced a persistent scarcity of resources, particularly in the realm of art. Yet, amidst these challenges, our youth and community have cultivated a powerful spirit of resilience and creativity. Photography and the visual arts have become vital means for us to declare our presence and reveal our multifaceted identities with pride—showing the world our complexities and beauty beyond narrow narratives.
